History
Partners Sandy McKinnon and Roy Clarke established M&C Energy Group in the UK in 1976. Since then the company has become a truly international organisation, with offices throughout Europe, Asia and America - and a client base which is currently spread over 20 countries and is continually expanding.
Our History
Our development as an organisation has benefited from the integration of and investment in other key operations to form today’s worldwide network:
The 70s: Sandy McKinnon and Roy Clarke launch the company from humble beginnings in a small Maidstone office
The 80s: Branching out to new offices in Edinburgh and Stockport. Acquisition of first major clients
- 1987 Acquisition of Telecost Analysis Ltd
- 1988 Acquisition of Templegate (Energy Audits) Ltd
The 90s: Going global with a new presence in Germany, France and Malaysia. Headquarters set up in Dunfermline.
- 1991 Acquisition of Pilkington Energy Advisors Ltd (PEAL)
- 1997 Amoil Supplies Ltd launched - dedicated to the procurement and purchase of all fuel requirements
- 1999 The Telecoms division, Amcall Communications Ltd, is launched
The millennium years: The global reach continues in Bangkok, USA, Ireland and Sweden
- 2002 Acquisition of GfE Netherlands and GfE Spain
- 2002 Acquisition of Erpag Switzerland
- 2005 Acquisition of Czech company - Regional Energy Agency (REA) Kladno
- 2008 Acquisition of UCA in the UK
- 2009 M&C Energy Group acquired by Lyceum Capital
